Snowshoeing

Today I went snowshoeing for the first time!

Funny thing is that I enjoyed it more than hiking. I have a problem finding the right rhythm/cadence or breath to step ratio when I am hiking (and to be honest even when I am just walking) but it could be that I am getting better, or that there is just something different about snowshoeing, but I did not have as much of a problem today. so YAY!

We went to Brainard Lake, and although it was quite windy and cloudy when we got to the top, it was still beautiful. I can only imagine its beauty on a beautiful clear day (summer days would be perfect)

Anyway my estimation is that we did about 6 miles, not a bad workout.

Me and my adventure buddy Kristin

My VASQUES were amazing! (those would be my hiking boots I wore.) Waterproof (CHECK) Well insulated (CHECK) ready for adventure? (DOUBLE CHECK)

Turned out to be a beautiful clear day.

Early morning tomorrow. I am subbing, so I have to be at work earlier than planned. BUT I want to get in a workout, so off to bed with me.

Here is some DAMO for you
