Week of January 20 recap

Two runs: 1 mile. First time in my shoes. I wanted to take it slow. Plus I got bored. so I stopped. Bad I know but I have 250plus days to train. Why not start slow and figure things out.
4-6miles. My phone wouldnt load my mileage for this run. But if the timing was right it was about an hour. Thats about 6 miles at my normal pace. But I did walk some on this run (mountainous, very muddy and snowy in parts)
Biking to work: I biked 30 mins twice this week. I will bike more to and from work now that I have a good route. (granted the weather works with me)
Biking to and from Ultimate: only like a 10 minute ride, but it was hard after 2 hours of ultimate.
Ultimate: 2 hours. on and off, but I played pretty hard. Had quite a few sprints and such. Counts as cross training/track workout in my book.

Here is something I need to keep reminding my self. I am a slow runner. I get bored, I need to get better, I WANT TO GET BETTER! I may take an hour to run 6 miles, I may average 11:30 minute miles in a long race, but I am ahead of everyone on the couch. During my training runs, at least I am out here. So before you say wow, she doesnt run fast, or far etc... STOP. I'm not doing this for you. I'm doing this for me. And you can shove your 8 minute miles. 9 minute miles. 10 minute miles. It is hard to run a 2 hour marathon, 3 hour marathon. Increadibly challenging. But I feel it takes more work, passion and determination to run an almost 6 hour marathon. I did it. Im going to do it again, I can only get better. I am on my way.
Congratulate me on that.
